In 2022, the average import price for acids; unsaturated acyclic monocarboxylic acids; acrylic acid and its saltses amounted to $3,533 per ton, shrinking by -4.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 139%. The import price peaked at $9,913 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($3,790 per ton), while the price for China ($2,678 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+22.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, imports, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 115% against the previous year.
