Preserved Sardines Price in Belgium (CIF) - 2023
The average preserved sardines import price stood at $7,214 per ton in June 2023, surging by 14% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 68% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $7,677 per ton. From March 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Portugal ($12,443 per ton), while the price for Morocco ($4,797 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
