Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 8.5% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,537 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,333 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($2,930 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
