Pears and Quinces Price in Guatemala (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average pears and quinces import price amounted to $1,368 per ton, picking up by 5.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,067 per ton. From January 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($1,478 per ton), while the price for Chile totaled $1,338 per ton.
From October 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
