Peanut Butter Price in the UK (CIF) - 2023
The average peanut butter import price stood at $2,858 per ton in August 2023, surging by 4.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 12% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,079 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,066 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($1,523 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average peanut butter export price stood at $4,803 per ton in August 2023, with an increase of 22% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
