Oxides of Boron Price in New Zealand (CIF) - 2023
The average oxides of boron import price stood at $1,100 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -12.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 22% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,467 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Peru ($1,147 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($948 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Peru (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Oxides of Boron Price in New Zealand (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average oxides of boron export price amounted to $2,522 per ton, growing by 146% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 239% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5,150 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($23,442 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($769 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Fiji (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, imports of oxides of boron, boric acids and inorganic acids into New Zealand contracted sharply to 5.4K tons, dropping by -22.4% compared with the previous year's figure.
