Oat Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average oat export price stood at $252 per ton in January 2022, increasing by 20% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2021 an increase of 47% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $265 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to January 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($350 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($82.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Oat Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In 2021, the average oat import price amounted to $737 per ton, surging by 93% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 120%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($2,292 per ton), while the price for Mongolia ($217 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, shipments abroad of oats was finally on the rise to reach 74K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, exports, however, saw a abrupt descent.
