Nucleic Acids Price in the United Arab Emirates (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average nucleic acids import price amounted to $24,945 per ton, shrinking by -2.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a temperate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 148% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $59,030 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($65,955 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($1,246 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Nucleic Acids Price in the United Arab Emirates (FOB) - 2022
The average nucleic acids export price stood at $63,631 per ton in 2022, growing by 17% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 185% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $99,190 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mozambique ($321,288 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($1,802 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+36.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nucleic Acids Imports in the United Arab Emirates
In 2022, supplies from abroad of nucleic acids and their salts decreased by -8.2% to 1.8K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, total imports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +23.0% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +86.2% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 49% against the previous year.
In value terms, nucleic acids imports declined to $45M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 84%.

In general, total exports indicated a pronounced increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 26% against the previous year.
In value terms, nucleic acids exports fell to $5.7M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 96%.
