Non-Liquid Margarine Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average non-liquid margarine export price stood at $1,335 per ton in January 2022, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average export price increased by 10% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,342 per ton in December 2021, and then contracted in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In January 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Armenia ($1,479 per ton) and Uzbekistan ($1,451 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mongolia ($1,258 per ton) and Kyrgyzstan ($1,258 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In January 2022, the average non-liquid margarine import price amounted to $1,628 per ton, growing by 10% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated strong growth from January 2021 to January 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.8% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2022 figures, non-liquid margarine import price increased by +95.7% against January 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 an increase of 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in January 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2,313 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan ($1,327 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
