In 2022, the average non-liquid margarine export price amounted to $1,295 per ton, declining by -15.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a mild reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 56%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,532 per ton, and then declined markedly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($1,579 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bahrain ($699 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kuwait (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The import price peaked at $1,757 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
