Non-Liquid Margarine Price in New Zealand (CIF) - 2023

In July 2023, the average non-liquid margarine import price amounted to $2,348 per ton, increasing by 30% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 95% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,639 per ton. From April 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Australia ($3,284 per ton), while the price for Indonesia amounted to $1,021 per ton.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In July 2023, the average non-liquid margarine export price amounted to $2,427 per ton, with an increase of 6.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 31% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,742 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Samoa ($3,325 per ton), while the average price for exports to Fiji ($1,755 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Papua New Guinea (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-Liquid Margarine Imports in New Zealand
