In October 2023, the average non-liquid margarine import price amounted to $1,892 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,299 per ton. From February 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Estonia ($2,373 per ton) and the Netherlands ($2,037 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,788 per ton) and Lithuania ($1,856 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
