Non-Knitted Men Apparel Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022

The average non-knitted men apparel export price stood at $12 per unit in 2022, increasing by 4.9% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-knitted men apparel export price decreased by -4.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 40% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $13 per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($56 per unit), while the average price for exports to Israel ($1.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-Knitted Men Apparel Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2022

In May 2022, the average non-knitted men apparel import price amounted to $6.9 per unit, shrinking by -3.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 when the average import price increased by 58% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $7.9 per unit in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to May 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2022, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($13.0 per unit), while the price for China ($2.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From May 2021 to May 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+22.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-Knitted Men Apparel Exports in Thailand

In 2022, exports of men's or boys' clothing (not knitted or crocheted) from Thailand fell to 12M units, waning by -9.5% compared with 2021. Overall, exports saw a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 7.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 14M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-knitted men apparel exports reduced to $143M in 2022. In general, exports showed a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 11%. The exports peaked at $176M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

For the fourth consecutive year, Thailand recorded growth in supplies from abroad of men's or boys' clothing (not knitted or crocheted), which increased by 6.2% to 27M units in 2022. In general, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +18.9% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +68.3% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-knitted men apparel imports expanded to $101M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a abrupt decline. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $122M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
