Non-Knitted Men Apparel Price in Spain (CIF) - 2022

The average non-knitted men apparel import price stood at $14.0 per unit in September 2022, with an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2021 an increase of 7.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in September 2022.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($38.4 per unit), while the price for Pakistan ($8.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-knitted men apparel export price stood at $15.3 per unit in September 2022, falling by -5.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 66% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $19.0 per unit in February 2022; however, from March 2022 to September 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($19.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to Panama ($222 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Greece (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-knitted men apparel imports into Spain expanded significantly to 193M units in 2022, picking up by 13% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep contraction. Imports peaked at 226M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-knitted men apparel imports surged to $2.6B in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a mild expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last three years.
