Mullite Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023

In August 2023, the average mullite import price amounted to $1,048 per ton, flattening at the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a resilient expansion from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, mullite import price decreased by -0.5% against July 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 30% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,054 per ton in July 2023, and then contracted in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($4,126 per ton), while the price for Germany ($552 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average mullite export price amounted to $1,718 per ton, picking up by 56% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed perceptible growth. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($3,751 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($504 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, mullite imports into the Czech Republic reached 2.7K tons, with an increase of 4.7% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 155%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Mullite Exports in the Czech Republic

In value terms, mullite exports contracted modestly to $31K in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $32K, and then declined modestly in the following year.
