Molybdenum Price in the UK (CIF) - 2023
The average molybdenum import price stood at $63,378 per ton in August 2023, surging by 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 54% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $96,217 per ton. From April 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($66,399 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $62,573 per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Molybdenum Price in the UK (FOB) - 2022
