Mixes and Doughs Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
The average mixes and doughs import price stood at $2,822 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 2.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 9.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in June 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Austria ($3,320 per ton) and Belgium ($3,261 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,474 per ton) and Greece ($2,806 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mixes and Doughs Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average mixes and doughs export price amounted to $2,860 per ton, reducing by -2.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $2,929 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced slightly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($4,477 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($2,064 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mixes and Doughs Imports in the Netherlands
For the fourth year in a row, the Netherlands recorded growth in overseas purchases of mixes and doughs, which increased by 8.2% to 72K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.9% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 12%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
