In 2022, the average mica; waste import price amounted to $2,413 per ton, increasing by 2.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,834 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of mica; wastes, when their volume decreased by -4.2% to 62 tons. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 9.3% against the previous year.

In value terms, mica; waste imports fell slightly to $150K in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 3.4% against the previous year.
