The average manganese oxides import price stood at $1,296 per ton in 2022, picking up by 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 51%. The import price peaked at $1,829 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,691 per ton), while the price for Georgia ($890 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average manganese oxides export price amounted to $3,984 per ton, rising by 110% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 111% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $5,831 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($8,109 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kuwait ($482 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
