The average manganese oxides import price stood at $971 per ton in 2022, surging by 2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 48% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,569 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($2,623 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($787 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (-5.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Manganese Oxides Imports in Iran
For the third consecutive year, Iran recorded decline in purchases abroad of manganese oxideses, which decreased by -48.8% to 1.3K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a sharp curtailment. The smallest decline of -15.3% was in 2020.
In value terms, manganese oxides imports declined markedly to $1.2M in 2022. In general, imports saw a dramatic decline. The smallest decline of -15.3% was in 2020.
