Liquefied Propane Price in Peru (CIF) - 2021

In April 2020, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $345 per ton, which is down by -20.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2020 an increase of 2.2% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $435 per ton in March 2020, and then dropped notably in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2020, the country with the highest price was Ecuador ($360 per ton), while the price for Bolivia ($331 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 243%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $862 per ton, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

As a result, imports reached the peak of $244M, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

Liquefied propane exports from Peru was estimated at 474 tons in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year.
