In 2022, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $45,364 per ton, with a decrease of -19.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 9,845% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $56,200 per ton, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($47,992 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($4,349 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+59.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
