In November 2023, the average liquefied butanes import price amounted to $224 per ton, rising by 10% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 214% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $497 per ton. From February 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Free Zones ($423 per ton), while the price for the United States totaled $38.0 per ton.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (-0.2%).

In 2022, the average liquefied butanes export price amounted to $1,207 per ton, increasing by 28% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a perceptible shrinkage. The export price peaked at $1,726 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($4,559 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ecuador ($1,759 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
