Liquefied Butanes Price in Kazakhstan (FOB) - 2022
The average liquefied butanes export price stood at $544 per ton in 2022, growing by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a noticeable descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 47% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $711 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Algeria ($671 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($335 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Algeria (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average liquefied butanes import price amounted to $3,181 per ton, picking up by 42% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 336%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($3,299 per ton), while the price for South Korea totaled $2,491 per ton.
