Leather Footwear Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

In March 2022, the average leather footwear export price amounted to $45.6 per pair, growing by 2.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 when the average export price increased by 137% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in March 2022.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($90.1 per pair), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($43.1 per pair) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+15.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Leather Footwear Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

In March 2022, the average leather footwear import price amounted to $36.9 per pair, jumping by 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2021 when the average import price increased by 27% m-o-m. The import price peaked in March 2022.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($59.0 per pair), while the price for India ($28.5 per pair) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Leather Footwear Exports in Indonesia

In 2022, shipments abroad of leather footwear was finally on the rise to reach 26M pairs for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The exports peaked at 28M pairs in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, leather footwear exports surged to $970M in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a slight shrinkage. The exports peaked at $1B in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
