Kiwi Fruit Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average kiwi fruit import price amounted to $3,041 per ton, declining by -3.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 53% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,141 per ton, and then declined slightly in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($3,078 per ton), while the price for Chile ($2,634 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average kiwi fruit export price stood at $3,689 per ton in 2022, rising by 134% against the previous year. Overall, the export price posted a temperate expansion. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($6,554 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic ($338 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Myanmar (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Overall, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 543% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, kiwi fruit exports surged to $514K in 2022. In general, exports showed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 309% against the previous year.
