Intake Air Filter Price in Romania (CIF) - 2022
The average intake air filter import price stood at $6.4 per unit in 2022, reducing by -3.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 7.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $19 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Brazil ($6.5 per unit) and Poland ($6.5 per unit), while the price for Hungary ($6.5 per unit) and Italy ($6.5 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (-7.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Intake Air Filter Price in Romania (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average intake air filter export price amounted to $15.5 per unit, which is down by -3.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 14% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $16.6 per unit in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($36.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to Poland ($2.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Intake Air Filter Imports in Romania
For the fourth year in a row, Romania recorded growth in supplies from abroad of intake air filters for internal combustion engines, which increased by 15% to 9.1M units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 87% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, intake air filter imports rose significantly to $58M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 25%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
