Intake Air Filter Price in New Zealand (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average intake air filter import price amounted to $14.1 per unit, declining by -20.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 56% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $17.7 per unit in August 2023, and then fell notably in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($37.9 per unit), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($2.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average intake air filter export price amounted to $42 per unit, surging by 7.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a slight downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $59 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($235 per unit), while the average price for exports to Cook Islands ($12 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of intake air filters for internal combustion engines decreased by -13% to 1.2M units in 2022. In general, imports saw a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 6.4%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 1.4M units, and then declined in the following year.
