Imitation Jewellery Price in Finland (CIF) - 2023
The average imitation jewellery import price stood at $113K per ton in June 2023, declining by -9.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 22% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $132K per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($288K per ton), while the price for Poland ($51,347 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Price in Finland (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average imitation jewellery export price amounted to $138,209 per ton, surging by 5.8% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imitation jewellery export price increased by +19.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 24%. The export price peaked at $168,045 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($412,016 per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($19,362 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+11.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of imitation jewelry increased by 37% to 92 tons in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a abrupt curtailment.
In value terms, imitation jewellery imports surged to $11M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
