Imines Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

The average imines export price stood at $4,966 per ton in March 2022, approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2021 when the average export price increased by 33% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $5,732 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Japan ($5,946 per ton) and South Korea ($5,734 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($4,659 per ton) and India ($4,930 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+22.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imines Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average imines import price amounted to $8,584 per ton, increasing by 1.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 35%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $10,913 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($91,274 per ton), while the price for India ($5,223 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imines Exports in Indonesia

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof, when their volume decreased by -98.1% to 82 tons. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a significant decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 106% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 4.2K tons, and then shrank notably in the following year.

In value terms, imines exports declined rapidly to $713K in 2022. Overall, exports showed a precipitous contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 112% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $19M, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

Imines Imports in Indonesia

In 2022, the amount of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof imported into Indonesia amounted to 958 tons, growing by 4.6% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 18%.

In value terms, imines imports rose remarkably to $8.2M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 8.7%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
