Hand Saws Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average hand saws import price amounted to $19,224 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a pronounced increase from September 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.5% over the last ten-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, hand saws import price decreased by -16.4% against March 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 45% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $22,988 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($63,004 per ton), while the price for Greece ($2,967 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average hand saws export price amounted to $7,483 per ton, which is down by -2.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 24% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $9,159 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($18,401 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($4,420 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ethiopia (+27.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Hand Saws Imports in Turkey
In 2022, supplies from abroad of hand sawses decreased by -7.2% to 4K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak of $62M, and then declined modestly in the following year.
