The average gum arabic import price stood at $4,458 per ton in 2022, reducing by -6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a deep downturn. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, gum arabic imports expanded sharply to $108K in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt contraction.
