In 2022, the average goats; live import price amounted to $90 per unit, jumping by 24% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a slight contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $110 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, goats; live imports into Cameroon skyrocketed to 2 units, rising by 100% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 150%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 5 units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, goats; live imports soared to $179 in 2022. Overall, imports saw a remarkable increase. Imports peaked at $314 in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
