Gingerbread Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2023
The average gingerbread import price stood at $2,938 per ton in June 2023, with a decrease of -6% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated pronounced growth from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, gingerbread import price decreased by -6.0% against May 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 an increase of 53% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,283 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($3,728 per ton), while the price for North Macedonia stood at $2,623 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Gingerbread Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average gingerbread export price amounted to $2,979 per ton, with a decrease of -8.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 164% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $12,215 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($8,022 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($2,132 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+1,907.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Gingerbread Imports in Croatia
In 2022, the amount of gingerbread imported into Croatia contracted modestly to 1K tons, reducing by -3.9% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 9.6% against the previous year.
