Fructose Price in the United Arab Emirates (FOB) - 2022

The average fructose export price stood at $3,207 per ton in 2022, growing by 359% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a resilient expansion. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,288 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($220 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Israel (+38.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average fructose import price amounted to $1,156 per ton, rising by 27% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($3,805 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($485 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Fructose Exports in the United Arab Emirates

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of fructose and fructose syrup, when their volume decreased by -60% to 7.1K tons. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 179%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 18K tons, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, fructose exports soared to $23M in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
