Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($22,380 per ton) and France ($21,428 per ton), while the price for Romania ($19,133 per ton) and Spain ($20,303 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+12.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen yellowfin tuna export price stood at $11,492 per ton in June 2023, with a decrease of -28.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a mild slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 87% month-to-month.
