In December 2022, the average frozen skipjack tuna import price amounted to $1,677 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Over the period from December 2021 to December 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2022 an increase of 13% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,767 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to December 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
