Frozen Cuttlefishes Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average frozen cuttlefishes import price amounted to $24,933 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 312% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $28,216 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($25,972 per ton), while the price for Japan ($20,658 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+21.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Cuttlefishes Price in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2022
The average frozen cuttlefishes export price stood at $6,927 per ton in 2022, declining by -47.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 223% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $21,465 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
