The average frozen crustaceans import price stood at $9,143 per ton in September 2023, waning by -1.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 11% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,531 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($17,252 per ton), while the price for India ($6,338 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average frozen crustaceans export price amounted to $10,178 per ton, declining by -8.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 44% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $13,994 per ton. From February 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
