In 2022, the average fishing reels import price amounted to $5,173 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 41% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,222 per ton in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($5,198 per ton), while the price for China stood at $5,188 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.4%).

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $21,876 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($19,931 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova ($1,662 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 59%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 5.5 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fishing reels exports fell significantly to $42K in 2022. In general, exports saw a abrupt curtailment. The smallest decline of -5.9% was in 2020.
