China (72K units) constituted the country with the largest volume of finishing paper machinery production, accounting for 45% of total volume. In value terms, China ($252M), Germany ($134M) and the Czech Republic ($74M) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 67% share of global exports.

Among the main exporting countries, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +17.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average finishing paper machinery export price amounted to $5,715 per unit, waning by -31% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 60% against the previous year. The global export price peaked at $10,583 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
