In 2022, the average ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium import price amounted to $34,994 per ton, reducing by -40.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 3,760% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $197,733 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($48,222 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($22,950 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+21.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the amount of ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadia imported into Egypt skyrocketed to 12 tons, jumping by 28% compared with the year before. In general, imports enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 253%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 14 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium imports shrank sharply to $405K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a dramatic curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 93%.
