Ethylene Oxide Price in China (FOB) - 2023
The average ethylene oxide export price stood at $2,544 per ton in June 2023, jumping by 48% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated mild growth from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, ethylene oxide export price decreased by -19.1% against April 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 53% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,148 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($3,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico stood at $1,700 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average ethylene oxide import price amounted to $3,050 per ton, jumping by 207% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, faced a deep reduction.
