Ethylene Dichloride Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average ethylene dichloride export price amounted to $189 per ton, reducing by -27.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 96% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $570 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to India ($205 per ton) and Brazil ($204 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($160 per ton) and Thailand ($160 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average ethylene dichloride import price stood at $494 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price faced a abrupt curtailment.
