The average ester gums export price stood at $2,258 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -3.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 5.9% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,783 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,121 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($2,032 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
