Electrical Musical Instrument Price in Australia (CIF) - 2023

The average electrical musical instrument import price stood at $236 per unit in September 2023, dropping by -29.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 27% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $388 per unit in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,634 per unit), while the price for China ($98.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Electrical Musical Instrument Price in Australia (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average electrical musical instrument export price amounted to $402 per unit, rising by 63% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a slight downturn. The export price peaked at $495 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($1,283 per unit), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($1.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
