The average copper wire export price stood at $8,734 per ton in May 2023, which is down by -3.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 10% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $9,788 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to May 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In May 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Belarus ($8,826 per ton) and Turkey ($8,811 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($8,467 per ton) and Lithuania ($8,561 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
