Copper Wire Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022

The average copper wire export price stood at $8,921 per ton in 2022, dropping by -5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 46%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $9,391 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($51,677 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($8,818 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+20.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $10,113 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($13,947 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($8,425 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
