In 2022, the average copper; master alloys export price amounted to $14,961 per ton, shrinking by -3.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average export price increased by 12% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $29,867 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($140,717 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($4,390 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 66% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $17,004 per ton. From April 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($10,618 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($6,606 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
