Confectionery-Making Industrial Machinery Price in China (FOB) - 2022

The average confectionery-making industrial machinery export price stood at $5,182 per unit in 2022, dropping by -1.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average export price increased by 13% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $17,459 per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($7,628 per unit), while the average price for exports to Chile ($1,915 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average confectionery-making industrial machinery import price stood at $10,705 per unit in 2022, reducing by -28% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, confectionery-making industrial machinery import price decreased by -50.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 48% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $21,476 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($21,538 per unit), while the price for India ($2,215 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+137.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Confectionery-Making Industrial Machinery Exports in China

For the fourth year in a row, China recorded growth in overseas shipments of industrial machinery for the manufacture or preparation of confectionery, cocoa or chocolate, which increased by 27% to 16K units in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, confectionery-making industrial machinery exports surged to $83M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +19.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +69.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 35%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
